Goomalibee school workshops with Broken Creek Primary School 2025
Goomalibee Landcare has been actively engaging with students at Broken Creek Primary School, running hands-on workshops focused on nestboxes and bee hotels. These sessions have provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to connect with their local environment, learn about the important role native wildlife plays in the ecosystem, and understand how practical conservation efforts can make a real difference.
During the workshops, students have been involved in building and exploring nestboxes and bee hotels, gaining first-hand experience in supporting native birds, bats, and pollinators. The activities not only teach valuable ecological concepts but also inspire curiosity, care, and a sense of responsibility for the natural world.
This collaboration between Goomalibee Landcare and Broken Creek Primary highlights the power of community-driven environmental education. It encourages the next generation to actively participate in conservation efforts while fostering a deeper appreciation for the unique wildlife and habitats in their own backyard.
