About this event

Goomalibee Landcare Group is proud to host the Paddock Trees and Soil talk at the Northo. Join us for a light supper and hear from CMA’s Janice Mentiplay-Smith and Agriculture Victoria Land Management Officer Greg Bekker.

FREE EVENTS for landholders to improve land management skills specific to our region. ALL community members welcome

CMA’s Janice Mentiplay-Smith

In our modified landscape, it takes dedicated human intervention to make sure paddock trees don’t disappear completely from our properties. Goulburn Broken CMA ‘Linking Landscapes’ Project Officer Janice Mentiplay-Smith will be speaking about Paddock Trees, their benefits to property health and biodiversity, threats to their survival, and how landholders can be a part of the Linking Landscapes ‘On Your Guard’ Paddock Tree Guard Program.

Greg Bekker, AgVic Land Management and Livestock Extension Officer.

Have you been wondering how to best manage your soils? Pastures, soil texture and soil nutrients are keys to this. Greg Bekker shall describe why soil testing is important and also explain how to take a soil test in your paddock and interpret the result.

Light supper provided.

Local plant species and soil books to give away.
