Everyone is welcome at this free event for landholders that aims to improve land management skills specific to our region. Join David Hardwick from Soil Land Food to learn the basics of making bioferments on the farm.
This free workshop will feature:
*A Day in the Life of Soil – an interactive session covering the essentials of soils and how they work, including soil biology, soil organisms, plant roots and organic matter
*Bioferts Making – a session covering the theory and practice of fermentation based bioferments and biofertilisers. We will make a a starter culture and a biofertilisers mix. Recipes in a workbook will be provided on the day. Attendees will have the opportunity to take some starter culture home (bring your own 20L container).
Lunch will be provided.

About the presenter:
David Hardwick is a local agroecologist with Soil Land Food, and has over 20 years experience in rural landscapes, farming and food systems. He is passionate about empowering farmers with knowledge and skills that make a difference.
