Managing Farms in a Changing & More Challenging Climate – Practical Steps for Landholders

The recently revived Burnt Creek Landcare Group welcomes interested landholders in the Avenel-Locksley-Upton Hill areas to our first public event.

Join us to hear from two industry leaders, Professor Timothy Reeves AM FTSE Professor in Residence, Dookie Campus Melbourne University and Mr Jim Shovelton, local pasture specialist, farmer, rural consultant and Director of Meridian Agriculture. Both speakers are well known to farming communities and will discuss the challenges facing land managers in a time of climate uncertainty and rapidly increasing input costs. They will also cover ways farmers can manage the transition to a lower emissions environment.

When:
Friday 2nd December 3.30-5.30 (followed by light refreshments)

Where:
Avenel Memorial Hall – 15 Queen St Avenel 3664

The event is being catered for so bookings are requested. All are welcome to this free event so please pass this on to anyone who may be interested.
