Gecko Clan, in conjunction with Agricultural Victoria (Department of Economic Development), is running a short information session for farmers on farm dams & water.

 

Recent dry years have highlighted the importance of farm dams and the importance of stored water.

This field day will discuss maintenance, management issues and common problems

Other topics covered include:

  • Spillway/overflow and trickle pipe issues
  • Maintenance and repair
  • Wall leakage and deterioration
  • Vegetation management
  • Safety issues
  • Livestock management
  • Catchment management and cleaning out / de-silting.
