Balmattum Sheans Creek Patersons Curse Control Field Day

Dear Landcare Members,

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to join us at one of our major Field Days of the year on Saturday June 17 in Sheans Creek.

The event will feature Simon Feillafe, Project Officer with the North-East Catchment Management Authority, who is a Specialist in the Biological Control of Paterson’s Curse – Simon will discuss Stage 2 of the Biological Control Release Program initiated locally by our group, and will have the Flea Beetle on hand to explain how they work and the impact these amazing creatures can have on our local environment.

I am excited to announce that our local Member for Euroa and Deputy Leader of The Nationals, Steph Ryan has accepted an offer to become an honoree member of the Balmattum/Sheans Creek Landcare Group. Steph will be joining us at the Field Day also and will be reinforcing her commitment to the local environment and Landcare.

A big thank you to Dr Janis Baker for allowing us to use her property for this event. Janis is new to our group and the district. Her property is located on the corner of Sheans Creek and Fernhills Road in Sheans Creek.

See attached your invitation and further details on the event.
